In celebration of Black History Month 2016, this lecture will include discussion of the legacies of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X, with a specific focus on their common vision and hope for humanity reflected in their Letters from a Birmingham Jail and Letters from Mecca. The discussion will also highlight themes of racial justice, faith and activism.
