Preventing Radicalization: Experiences from Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom

Over the last few years, counter-radicalization has emerged as a national security priority for governments. Canada’s latest budget dedicates $35 million to creating a new Office of Counter-Radicalization, following in the footsteps of other countries – including the United States and the United Kingdom – that have developed programs to counter radicalization and violent extremism. This symposium will bring together experts to discuss emerging issues in Canada’s counter-radicalization program and lessons to be learned from experiences with counter-radicalization in the US and UK.
