The Judge provides rare insight into Shari'a law, an often-misunderstood legal framework for Muslim, told though the eyes of the first woman judge to be appointed to the Middle East's religious courts. Her interests are in child and adolescent psychiatry, marginalized and underserved communities and addressing cultural and religious barriers to accessing mental health services.
