About Imam Kamil Mufti:

Imam Kamil Mufti studied at the University of Texas at Austin and devoted himself to years of study of Aqeeda, tafsir, hadith, fiqh, and the Arabic language that took him from the deserts of Mauritania to the dusty streets of Cairo. He is a member of the American Muslim Jurists Association (AMJA), North American Imam’s Federation (NAIF), and is the board member of the Central Illinois Interfaith Alliance. He has been awarded by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) for clarifying the difference between hate, freedom of speech, and freedom of religion. His civil rights efforts culminated by the passing of the resolution against Islamophobia by his home city in Illinois in July, 2016. He has been invited to the President’s National Prayer Breakfast in February 2017 at the White House. External Event Url
