The Islamic Center of Southern California and ICUJP will hold an Interfaith Vigil Against Violence and Hatred on Monday, June 13 at 6 p.m. in rememberance of the 50 people killed in Orlando, Florida on June 12. We will also hold a press conference.

This will be a gathering of interfaith and community leaders to mourn lost lives, to condemn gun violence and hatred toward the LGBTQ community, and to stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters.

STATEMENT FROM THE ISLAMIC CENTER OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA:
The Islamic Center of Southern California expresses its utter shock, dismay, and sadness at the mass murder of 50 people at an LGBT nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Needless to say, we express our unequivocal and total condemnation of this act.
We pray God has mercy upon the victims, and showers His comfort upon the victim's families in this terrible period of tragedy.
This is a devastating event for the nation, being its worst mass shooting.
The Islamic Center of Southern California reiterates its pledge and commitment to counter violent extremism, as well as do our part in healing our nation.
