Dalya’s Other Country tells the nuanced story of members of a family displaced by the Syrian conflict who are remaking themselves after the parents separate. Dalya goes to Catholic high school and her mother, Rudayna, enrolls in college as they both walk the line between their Muslim values and the new world in which they find themselves

On June 17th, “Dalya’s Other Country” had its world premiere at the LA Film Festival, and it was a full house! Less than 10 days later, on June 26th, it opened the 30th season of PBS’ award winning nonfiction film series, POV, which airs across the United States. Over half a million viewers tuned in. Our NYTimes Op-Docs short (based partially on the film) has received a great response. External Event Url
