Ustadh Ubaydullah also instructs with the Ta’leef Collective and the Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN) at times. Wajahat Ali - Wajahat Ali is a journalist, writer, lawyer, an award-winning playwright, a TV host, and a consultant for the U.S. State Department. IAC Presents: Earth Day Adventure

Get excited for an Earth Day weekend with the Clifton community! After learning about theophany with Imam Ismaeel the previous night, join us on Saturday, April 23rd at the Cincinnati Nature Center for an adventurous hike through Rowe Woods. What better way to appreciate the beauty of Allah and His creation? Stay tuned for the activities we have planned during our hike and for various other fun events happening at the Nature Center that day! Admission is free in celebration of Earth Day. Please bring a sack lunch to enjoy during our hike! IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING TOMORROW'S HIKE: **We will be meeting at the Rowe Visitor Center at 11AM. Please refer to the map below regarding location of the center/trails and parking** Trail brochures will be available at the Visitor Center. We will begin with the Geology Trail (1.25 milies), and will work our way through the Upland Trail and the Mashburn Family Discovery Trail where we will break for lunch (don't forget to bring your bag lunches!). Please note that picnicking is allowed in designated picnic areas only, not on trails. There will be a bunch of fun activities to do during our hikes such as tree identification, scavenger hunts, and pond study, and amazing sights to see like waterfalls, glacial debris, butterfly gardens, spring blooms, and various land and water wildlife! Binoculars, magnifying glasses, compasses, bug boxes, and art/pond kits are available for check out at the Visitor Center (in exchange for holding your keys or driver's license), but feel free to bring your own. Please plan to arrive a little early if you'd like to take advantage of these available resources to accommodate for check out time. Brothers Beginner's Arabic Class

This is the first class of a weekly beginner's Arabic class that will be held at the Clifton Mosque every Saturday at 11:30 AM. No prior knowledge of Arabic is required for this class. Purification Of The Self

The classes will be taught by Sheikh Naeem Abdul Wali. Naeem Abdul Wali was born Gary Edwards in Crossville, Tennessee, USA, but grew up in Indiana. He embraced Islam while attending Purdue University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Entomology. In 1991 he moved to Medina, Saudi Arabia, to begin a series of studies in Islamic disciplines. After two years he pursued further studies in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey under various traditional scholars including his spiritual director Sh.Mahmud Ustaosmanoglu (popularly known as Mahmud Effendi). Since receiving his traditional certication (Ijaza) to teach the disciplines & texts he studied he has taught in the United Kingdom, Western Europe, United States, Canada and Australia.
