Many people see the hundreds of Huffaz of the Qur'an, Imams, Muftis and Scholars who have graduated from the scholarly institutions of the Indian Subcontinent. However, the generality of the Muslims in this land, and often those scholars themselves, don't know what their spiritual lineage is, or how and why the institutions and individuals who made the preservation of Islam were able to do so, or who they were and what epic struggles they had to go through in order to arrive at the success they did.
