Learn about the qualities that we can take away from Prophet Dawud and apply to our lives today. Then learn from the story of Asiyah(RA), the wife of the Pharaoh and the woman who raised Musa (AS). She overcame the odds and stood up her husband and became one of the few woman martyrs in Islam.

The disease of envy and jealousy is a plague that has caused about great destruction to our communities and brotherhood and sisterhood. In this talk, Imam Shadeed will focus in one of the many Heroes in the Qur’an, Prophet Yusuf, whose brothers jealousy lead them to try to kill him. How was Prophet Yusuf able to overcome their jealousy and ultimately forgive them? Learn how we can derive lessons from prophet Yusuf and protect our communities from this disease. Imam Shadeed will further discuss Khaulah bint Tha’labah, the one who in Surah Mujadila, Allah SWT acknowledges her plea. What was her complaint to her Lord and how can Muslim sisters benefit from her story in todays society.
