In the Modern society it presents us with countless distractions, temptations, and impediments to our faith each day. Sometimes, just living as a Muslim in America can be a struggle. This panel will offer observations on maintaining our Islam in the face of external pressure, and provide advice and guidance to members of the community. this month panel we tackle this subject with the help of: Robby Owens / Nicole Mossalam/ Dr. Nahed El-Kholy & Imam Ismail Fenni.

Nahed El Kholy: Retired Board Certified Psychiatrist
Had her Medical Degree from Cairo University- Egypt
Did her Residency Training in the field of Psychiatry at University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD and at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Washington DC.32 years experience in the field of Psychiatry.Worked in different Hospitals over the years in both Inpatient and outpatient settings.Always had a private office to see Muslims in the community on Saturdays.Carry medical licenses in NJ, MD, Washington DC and MA.Lecturer and Educator in different communities upon request.Has worked with both adults and children from different cultures.Last Psychiatric Practice she had was at Charlestown, MA, closed when retired June 2013

Dr.Nahed has taught Medical students at George Washington University at Washington DC and residents in training at the University of Maryland Department of Psychiatry.

Sheikh Smail Fenni: Sheikh Smail Fenni is the Acting Imam at Yusuf Mosque and Islamic Society of Boston. He is a long standing community leader involved in many past and future community initiatives. Sheikh Smail has gained a wealth of spiritual knowledge and continues to be a source of guidance and inspiration to the Muslim community.

Robby Owens: Volunteers as an organizer of programs and activities designed for converts to Islam at Yusuf Mosque & Malden Mosque. He pioneered the "Convertsations", a monthly new Muslim education series at ISBCC and is the founder of monthly panel talks at Yusuf Mosque. He is of Irish decent and grew up in Western Massachusetts. Robby converted to Islam
