Alianza Latina, Umoja BU, and Islamic Society of Boston University have united to bring you Intersectionality: A Spoken Word event! We've invited three accomplished poets to BU's campus to explore identity through Spoken Words. Our speakers have impacted social change in our communities by sharing their experiences to provoke thought and awareness. Now they're sharing their experiences with members of our BU community to spark meaningful conversations and explore the intersectionality between our communities of color.
Following the Spoken Words, we'll be having a community dinner where we'll continue the cultural exchange between our groups and the larger BU community. The food provided will come from all of our cultures, so get ready for some delicious options!
