MAPS-MCRC is partnering with St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Medina, WA for a Thanksgiving Project on Wednesday, November 23.
We need 10 volunteers for food preparation between 10am and 12pm that day. Volunteer tasks will include
Packaging rolls, potatoes, green beans, gravy, and stuffing
Cooking green beans and stuffing
Preparing, cooking, and mashing potatoes (outdoors)
Assembling items into delivery boxes in preparation for delivery to the Hopelink families on Thanksgiving day
For children, twelve years old is the minimum age to participate. One of their parents needs to be present.
Attire is casual. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring an apron if concerned about clothing getting soiled. Volunteers may wish to bring work gloves and a warm jacket in case they are working with the potato preparations, much of which is done outdoors.
