Across the country, Muslims, Jews, Christians, and other communities of conscience and faith have come out in droves in response to recent political and policy developments.

But HOW does one channel that energy to create real policy change?

Congressional Advocacy.

Poligon Education Fund is joining the Islamic Society of Northeastern University for a timely and informative workshop on how you can do just that. The workshop will cover the functions of Congress and the legislative process, as well as best practices for calling (and even Tweeting) your Congressional representative, attending a town hall, and conducting a Congressional office visit.

When you leave, you (and your networks) will have the information and tools needed to educate and advocate to your members of Congress, both in your home districts and even on Capitol Hill.

The workshop will be led by Afif Abdur-Rahman, S'15, co-founder of Poligon (Northeastern University/ISNU alum), and Mariam Ahmed, Poligon Legislative Fellow.

Poligon is a national, non-partisan, millennial-led organization dedicated to amplifying Muslim American voices in Congress through education, training, and advocacy on issues including economic justice, healthcare, civil rights, and anti-Muslim bigotry.
