ICI Annual Conference 2016 "Changing Narratives"
Islamic Center of Irving is hosting our 3rd Annual Conference "Changing Narratives: Transforming American's Perception of Muslims" on September 30, October 1, & October 2 (Insha Allah). The goal of this conference is to bring awareness to American Muslim community on the need to engage with larger American community by working together on common causes such as social justice, social service, political participation, media engagement, and Govt/NGO participation. We are bringing scholars and speakers who can speak from an Islamic perspective as well as experts in specific areas of focus. The conference will educate the community on the importance of grass roots activism, collaborating with other communities, and constructively participation in the process to change the narrative around Muslims in America.

Most of the conference is free for the community, except:
a. Conference Prime Event, Sat., Oct. 1, 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm ($20 after online discount, $30 at the door)
b. Dawah Workshop: The Eternal Challenge, Sun., Oct. 2, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm ($20)
