Gungahlin Mosque

For the past 10 years, the Muslim Community in Canberra has been working very hard to obtain a piece of land from the ACT government to build a second Mosque, Gungahlin Mosque (including a community centre), in the Gungahlin Town Centre (GTC) under the Canberra Muslim Community Inc (CMC?s) sponsorship over the next 3 years' time. On 18 July 2011, Alhumdulillah, by the grace and blessings of Almighty Allah, CMC received a 99 years Crown Lease for the Mosque land from the ACT Government.

Gungahlin Mosque Open Day - A Harmony day event for the Canberra

As part of harmony day events, Gungahlin Mosque will be opening its doors for the wider community to come and experience the mosque and ask questions about Islam and Muslims. Gungahlin Mosque Grand Opening

We would like to invite you, your families and friends to attend the grand opening of our Gungahlin mosque on Sunday 8th October 2017. Free BBQ, jumping castle, Fairy floss, popcorn & snow cones starting from 10:30AM to 3PM. The main program will start at 12:00PM followed by First Dhuhr prayer InshaAllah. A number of ACT and Federal Parliamentarians will also be addressing the community.
