Eid-al-Fitr Community Prayer
We will be hosting the communal Eid al-Fitr prayer at Broadbent Arena in the Expo Center. We will announce the final date once the first day of Eid has been determined. Takbeerat will begin at 8:30am and the prayer will be observed at 9am. Please read the following:
a. The Expo Center would not grant free parking, but we have secured 25 parking passes for Guiding Light members. These passes are for families who may otherwise have difficulty attending the prayer. You may inquire about these tickets by texting 502-930-8391 or messaging GLIC here on Facebook. To access the Expo Center's parking lots, you will have to pay $8 at one of the gates. We advise carpooling to reduce traffic.
b. Guiding Light Islamic Center is elated to announce both a breakfast for the Muslim community at our center as well as our hosting the communal Eid Carnival. Elhadji Diagne and Hamza Foy are seeking vendors who would like to sell their wares or showcase information about their organization.
