What are your children doing this spring break? We at FIC and Al-Ihsan institute are constantly working towards engaging the Muslim youth in our community in ways that are relevant to their lives and experiences. Our purpose is to build and develop their Islamic knowledge and Muslim companionship, as well as nurture their sense of personal empowerment and social responsibility. With this in mind, we invite the youth of our community (grades 1st-11th) to join us this spring break (April 4-7) for an enriching journey that focuses on friendship and anti-bullying. What lies ahead is an exciting spring break filled with meaningful discussions and fun activities including rock climbing, trips to Frankenmuth, bowling, and a BBQ!

The theme of this year’s camp is Stand Up & Speak Up, where we will be tackling the all-too-common problem of bullying. In addition to addressing its physical and psychological effects, workshops will allow the youth to discuss the best ways to stand up against bullying – whether they or their friends are the victims. We will also be highlighting the qualities of a good friend and the importance of surrounding ourselves with the right friends. As the Prophet (PBUH) said "المرء مع من أحب” (A person will be with whom they love). Our aim is to create a space where our youth are empowered to address the injustices they see around them and make the right decisions in their daily lives.

Early registration fee is $60/participant and ends April 1st, after which the registration fee will be $70/participant. External Event Url
