The Muslim Community Center of County (MCCUC) was established in December 30, 1997 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fulfill the religious, educational, social, and spiritual needs of the Muslim Community in Union County, NJ. For over fifteen years, we operated out of a rented basement at 60 Prince St, Elizabeth, NJ. During this time, our community grew, and the space was no longer adequate for our needs. By the Grace of Allah (swt), we completed the purchase of a new Masjid property on March 18, 2013 at 12:00pm (6 Jumadi -al-Awwal 1433 Al-Hijri). This new property is located at 964-984 Magie Ave, Elizabeth, NJ 07208, in a safe residential area, with a private parking lot, plus plenty of free street parking available.

Islamic Scholarship Fund and CAIR Event

It’s essential that we, as an American Muslims, Know Our Rights. This workshop, presented by CAIR NJ, will focus on New Jersey law as it pertains to: Harassment, Assault, Vandalism and Bias Intimidation. The workshop will offer advice on what to do when confronted with these situations as well as tips on dealing with law enforcement officials and Masjid security. Islamic Scholarship Fund (http://islamicscholarshipfund.org/) is a national non-profit 501c3 that started in 2009 and awards academic scholarships, film grants, congressional leadership, and mentorship to Muslim-American students across the United States. To date, they have awarded over $650,000 in scholarships to students from over 135 universities, 119 majors, and 39 states.
