Fiqh of Fasting by Shk Hatem Al-Haj

"Does my fast count if I didn't make my intention the previous night? Does a vaccination nullify my fast? Can I perform voluntary fasts before making up my obligatory ones?" With Ramadan less than 60 days away, there could be no better time to refresh on the fiqh rulings surrounding siyam (fasting). InshaAllah Shaykh Hatem will be teaching the Fiqh of Fasting from Ibn Qudamah's Hanbali primer, Umdat al-Fiqh, starting on April 7th, 2018. We will be covering the traditional rulings as well as contemporary issues related to fasting according to the Hanbali school while also adding a taste of comparative fiqh. Additionally, all classes will be followed by a Q&A session to clarify class material and miscellaneous topics. Check the flyer for details and don't miss out!

He graduated with a Bachelor in Islamic Sciences from Al-Imam Muhammad University (KSA), did his Master’s in Islamic Theology, World Religions and Modern Religious Sects from Al-Imam Muhammad University, and achieved a Doctorate in Theology from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Indiana.
