Masjid Al Muminun - Ummah.Events

Masjid Mu'Minun is physically located in the People�s Town section of Atlanta Georgia - not far from Turner Stadium and downtown Atlanta. As Muslims, our community is not limited by geographic location. We have Believers in attendence from metro Atlanta, other parts of the state, other parts of North America and other parts of the world. The majority of our Believers are converts. Although most of our community members are of African-American ancestory, we welcome all nationalities and races. Al Islam makes no distinctions within the communities and we therefore warmly open our doors to all Believers and Guests. We are firmly committed to following the teachings of Imam W. Deen Mohammed.

Masjid Al-Mu'minun Fundraiser Banquet

This is Masjid Al-Mu'minun 3rd annual fundraiser banquet. This year’s theme is: “Growing Community Life with Guidance of the past, the present and into the Future”. The awards banquet will give recognition to leaders within our community who have made significant social contributions towards the betterment of community. The Imam W. D. Mohammed Lifetime Achievement Award has been added this year. Imam W. D. Mohammed will be the first recipient of this award posthumously. There is also the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award. Imam Siraj Waahaj, Imam Dr. Nasir Ahmad and Azeem Muhammad the comedian from "Allah Made Me Funny" fame are featured speakers at the event. The cost of the tickets are $50 general admission, $40 seniors 65 and older. The event is being held at the Grand Royale Event Center, 4473 Covington Hwy, Decatur, GA 30035.

Book Signing with Sister Nuurah A. Muhammad

She was a follower of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and a student of Imam W. D. Mohammed. She is an excellent teacher. She has been effective in teaching our children through studing the Holy Qu'ran and applying what she has learned to the educational process. This is her legacy to the community. She is also blind but this has not stopped her from writing this book. The cost of the book is $25. She can still sign her signature.
