The Art of Communication

PARENTS! Do you have trouble getting your children to listen? Do you feel like there is a wall when trying to communicate with them? Are you frustrated with your children and vice versa? If so, (and we can't imagine who would say no to all of these questions!), please join us on Saturday, August 26th at 12 PM for an AMAZING workshop on "The Art of Communication with Your Kids." The ICO Youth Committee is hosting Dr. Madiha Tahseen from the Family and Youth Institute to discuss these very issues. This will be interactive and present information on: 1) Child development up through the adolescent years 2) Highlight diverse methods of helping youth through loving family relationships 3) Cover effective communication tips and pointers in order to strengthen connection through potential tough years of the youth. 4) She will also discuss "taboo" topics and how to effectively talk to your kids. This is a 3-hour workshop from 12 PM -3:30 PM with a break for refreshments & Zuhr prayers. We HIGHLY encourage ALL parents to attend, especially for those who have children in middle or high school!
