Sisters in Self Defense is an opportunity for women from all over our community to unite as one in a course that will allow them to feel safer and take back power to protect themselves. This free class will teach numerous manuevors for women to defend themesleves and have the oppertunity to get away from an aggressor. Assalamu Alaykum With the help of Allah and your valuable contributions, we have secured the first Muslim American Community Center building in Central Florida to include Prayer Hall, event hall and indoor activity center for youth! Since we took over the building, a considerable amount of work and efforts have been put to bring the building up to the desired city code and to make it fully operational. Currently, we are working on Phase III of our project to help start Jummah prayers and we would like to request your presence at our first barbeque and fund raiser at your very own community center. The event will be held at 811 Wilma Street, Longwood Fl 32750 on March 12, 2011 between 1lM to 5PM. This presents an excellent opportunity to meet all our team members, tour the facility, witness the progress already made and get a preview of our construction plan.
