Competing for a Cause: One Year, 100 Wells
Q: What causes a child to die every 20 seconds?
A: Dirty Water.
Zakat Foundation of America is building 100 water wells in one year, and we need YOU to make it happen!
Join this inter-youth group competition in which each group will organize creative fundraising activities for building water wells in the world's thirstiest countries.
For example, during Friday prayers you might sell "water bottles for water in Africa", or do a Jum'ah Car Wash, or a Walk for Water, a Bike for Water, an Open Mic Night, Slam Poetry event, etc. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!
The best part is that the water well(s) you build can have your youth group/school/masjid's name engraved on it and it will be a sadaqa jariyah even after you pass from this life.
Walk in the prophet's footsteps and be activists for social change.
