Night of Power Dhikr and Qiyam in Columbia Heights
Friday night, July 1st coincides with the 27th night of Ramadan, one of the last ten odd nights and possibly Laylatul Qadr, or the Night of Power/Destiny.
In these nights, it is encouraged for us to be engaged in devotional worship. From midnight to 3am we will be gathering in at St. Stephen's Church in Columbia Heights to engage in dhikr/remembrance, qiyam-al-layl, and salatul tasbeeh.
We hope to use the beautiful acoustics of the church to enage in some meditative dhikr and poetry in praise of God and his Beloved.
Reminder: There is no Taraweeh at CH Friday night, so come back here after you've gone elsewhere for isha and taraweeh.
