Join us for a special evening with Shaykh Omar Suleiman and Dr. Michael W. Waters, an author and pastor of the Joy Tabernacle Church (AME), who visited the Mother Emanual Church (AME) that was subject to a terrorist attack in Charleston last year, leading to the deaths of many innocent worshippers. Dr. Waters is a passionate civil rights advocate who has been at the forefront of the fight against police brutality, gun violence, and most recently joined the battle against Islamophobia.
On this evening, Imam Omar and Pastor Waters will share reflections on America's current political discourse in light of its history and how we as a Muslim community should keep things in perspective and respond.
