Girls 9-14 Baking Club & Sports

Girls ages 9-14 are invited to come join us in the SNMC gym from 3:00pm to 4:30pm every week for a baking class followed by sports in the gym! The event is entirely FREE and everyone is welcome! It will run weekly from March Until the end of May, inshAllah, Join us for a great time with food and lots of fun! :)

Kids Reptile Show at SNMC

Come see an entertaining reptile show with the whole family! This hour-long presentation includes 8-10 animals featuring snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, amphibians and invertebrates. Tickets are $5/each and they include admission fee, snacks, and a guaranteed amazing time! Tickets can be purchased at the SNMC office, and at our weekly Sunday kids event.

Shaykh Reda Bedeir - SNMC Friday Night Lecture

SNMC along with United Muslim Organizations of Ottawa-Gatineau (UMO-OG) are pleased to bring to you: Shaykh Dr. Reda Bedeir's Ottawa Winter Tour Just when you thought exams were over...come and learn "How to Pass the Most Difficult Exam of Your Life!" at SNMC Masjid on Friday Dec 22 at 8pm. You can catch Sh. Reda at any of these UMO-OG Organizations. Not only can you enjoy and listen to powerful lectures but also ask questions and be part of discussions ALL weekend. Busy? Family and Friends visiting? Bring them along too! It's going to be a great weekend that you DON'T want to MISS! Shaykh Dr. Reda Bedeir has a Ph.D. degree from Al Azhar University in Applied Linguistics and Islamic Studies. He holds two BA degrees: one in English and the other in Islamic Studies. He has an MA degree in Simultaneous Translation between Arabic and English. He is a Professor at Al-Azhar University in Egypt. He is an past instructor with Almaghrib Institute. He has taught Islam all over the world: Egypt (Al-Azhar University), USA (Wake Forest University in NC), Canada (Calgary and Alberta University), UK, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and so on. He is an international speaker and has appeared in many TV Channels all over the world: Nile TV in Egypt, Islam Channel in London, England, Al Huda TV and many other TV shows in USA and Canada. He is a very motivational and engaging speaker who will make you cry and laugh hysterically within the same speech. Dr. Bedeir is a certified life coach as well as an interpreter with the UN for the last 20 years.

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!! Assalamu Alaikom dear Ottawa Sisters, The SNMC Sisters Committee cordially invites you, your friends, your moms, sisters and daughters to a special event. It is our October sisters gathering. Our theme for this month, 'Many Cultures-One Ummah', revolves around the amazing Ayah 13 from Al Hujurat: "O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted."
