The workshop is being hosted by Masjid Al-Furqan and Roswell Community Masjid, with speakers from the Family and Youth Institute. Everyone is welcome, though the workshop is primarily for new/young couples and individuals who are thinking about marriage.

Speakers:

Steven Hernandez​ i​s a Community Educator with The FYI in addition to being the Foundation Development Coordinator for the Community Choice Foundation. He is also trained in several marriage education and enrichment programs for singles,couples, and youth and began his work in this field over 10 years ago. He strives to give couples and singles the skills they need to succeed in their relationships by giving them real tools they can use, both for themselves and their families to transform their relationships.
Steven earned his B.A. in History and Anthropology from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He has been a practicing Muslim since 2004 and is the proud husband and father.

Hiat Saleh ​is a Community Educator with The FYI and holds a Masters in psychology. She has been working as a school psychologist in public school districts for the past 12 years. She has worked at the elementary, middle and high school levels as well as college students and young professions. Hiat has been active with the Muslim community for the past 15 years through MAS Youth and MAS Family Foundation. Her work within the community has primarily focused on youth, mentorship, social services and mental health. Hiat currently resides in northern California. External Event Url
