Bio: Sr. Safia is an Islamic studies graduate student at UT. She has studied Arabic overseas in both Egypt and Jordan and taught tafsir at the Zaytuna summer Arabic intensive.

Topic: Tafsir on ayat including an Arabic analysis using Ar-Razis Tafsir Al-Kabir and a philosophical conversation concerning the larger points and motifs of the Surah. The aim is to help students understand and connect with the Surah as they recite it in prayer and to answer the deeper metaphysical questions of our modern age. External Event Url
