Imam Islam Mossaad currently serves as Imam for the Islamic Community of Bryan College Station. He leads the regular prayers, taraweeh prayers in Ramadan, gives talks at the Masjid and on the Texas A&M campus. He is an interfaith leader who helps explain Islam to non-Muslims and works collaboratively with other faith leaders on common challenges.

Imam Islam grew up in Austin, Texas where he volunteered extensively from a young age leading the local youth group and teaching in the weekend school. From a young age he was trained in Islamic work giving khutbahs and halaqahs, translating for scholars, and being engaged in a host of other Islamic activities. He earned a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas. He also studied Quran and Hadeeth extensively and continues to expand his knowledge in the Islamic Sciences.

He previously served as Imam for the Islamic Center of Little Rock and then the North Austin Muslim Community Center. He also served as principal for the Huda Academy in Little Rock, and taught at the Renaissance Academy in Austin External Event Url
