Ladies Halaqas are BACK!

Join the ladies to learn and discuss in a safe nonjudgmental space. Led by distinguished sisters in the area to discuss topics specifically pertaining to American Muslim women. Held every other Friday.

In honor of Black History Month, sisters share their thoughts and experiences on being black, Muslim and female in our eclectic community.

For this week, we are honored to be joined by Taalibah Hassan, Interfaith Chair at Dar Al Noor Islamic Center, as well as Nina Daoud, a Ph.D. Candidate at University of Maryland whose research focuses on the intersections of race, religion, and gender for Black Muslim women in college.

In preparation for this weeks' discussion, we would also encourage you all to check out the #BeingBlackAndMuslim hashtag for additional insights. There is currently a live discussion taking place offering insights on the lived experiences of Black Muslims. The discussion is hosted by Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative, a Muslim-led non-profit organization dedicated to racial justice External Event Url
