Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “Nikah (marriage) is my Sunnah”. He also said, “When a man marries, he has fulfilled half of his religion, so let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half.” Our mission is to help Muslim singles in taking the first step towards fulfilling this Sunnah. We are committed in bringing Muslim singles together in accordance with the Islamic principles and guidance. Our unique event facilitates the participants to meet each other in a relaxed and informal environment. Because of short rotation time among groups, we ask you to prepare in advance. Reflect on questions that matter to you and provide information to others about you. Many participants find it effective to carry business cards with their contact information. We encourage Islamic casual attire for your comfort. Men tend to wear dress pants and a shirt or blazer; women tend to wear skirts, dresses, or ethnic clothing.

The White Helmets Film Screening
Recently put on the October cover of Time Magazine, The White Helmets is a Netflix original short documentary, set in Aleppo, Syria and Turkey in early 2016. As the violence intensifies, The White Helmets follows three volunteer rescue workers as they put everything on the line to save civilians affected by the war, all the while wracked with worry about the safety of their own loved ones. Moving and inspiring, The White Helmets (directed by Academy Award (R)-nominated director Orlando von Einsiedel and producer Joanna Natasegara) is both a snapshot of the harrowing realities of life for ordinary Syrians who remain in the country, and a humbling portrait of the power of the human spirit. Join us at MIC for a screening of this film, to be followed by a discussion afterwards. **There will be an Outdoor Kids' Film playing simultaneously (bring blankets, chairs, etc.). Support The White Helmets @ https://www.whitehelmets.org/
