Risala Foundation is pleased to host Shaykh Alaeddin El-Bakri for its annual Ramadan Qiyaam program.

In his famous poem, al-Munfarijah, Imam Ibn Nahwi wrote,

"Get worse, oh trouble, so that you may be lifted
For your night has announced the breaking of the dawn
And even the darkness of the night has its gleams
until the father of these gleams overwhelms them

Contentment with God’s decree will untie the knot
so make it your focus and turn your mount towards it
So if the doors of guidance are opened
then hurry into their treasuries and stay there"

We all face challenges, difficulties and tests in life. Our faith provides a beautiful blueprint on how to face these with bravery and trust. Join us for an enlightening session on how we should face the "knots" in our lives. This program will include lecture, prayer, recitation and Dua.

SHAYKH ALAEDDIN EL-BAKRI began his study of Islam at a young age in North Africa and continued his education in the Islamic sciences in Jordan, learning from pre-eminent scholars in the Muslim world. He has served the Muslim community in the United States in numerous capacities, serving as Imam in several Islamic centers. External Event Url
