As part of our "Unfiltered Talk" series, ISBU is pleased to announce that we will have a guest speaker this month, Laila Alawa, who will be addressing a very important topic: "Mental Health and the Muslim Community: What Things are Really Like". We will be discussing mental health in regards to being a Muslim in America, why it's such a taboo topic, how we can address it, how we can feel more comfortable with talking about it and providing better care to ourselves and to those around us.

This is a loaded topic and we are excited for this conversation to be occurring. It will be a conversation style halaqa with Laila sharing her own thoughts and experiences and then opening the floor up to everyone else. Please invite all of your friends, family, and coworkers.

We look forward to seeing you all there inshallah.
