The Muslim Community of Knoxville will participate in the 2017 Neighborhood Conference Saturday, March 11th. Doors open to the public at 7:30 AM and the conference will run from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM.

Longtime community member, Sister Maha Ayesh, will be representing the Muslim community in the Diversity Matters: Finding Common Ground panel discussion. She will be speaking about understanding the challenges faced by those in our society who may be wrongfully stereotyped and whose potential contributions are not fully realized. The discussion aims to teach strategies for getting to know our neighbors and finding common ground. Attendees will receive tips on respecting and understanding our differences, learning and benefitting from them.

The Muslim Community of Knoxville will also have a booth during the conference where the community at large may visit to learn more about the different ways that MCK is actively participating in the Knoxville community.

The conference is free of charge and we encourage everyone to attend. Please visit http://bit.ly/KnoxNeighbors to register. External Event Url
