On May 13th and 14th, the Family and Youth Institute and MAS Dallas Present: Understanding American Muslim Youth Development Workshop

It is a training for all parents, teachers, youth mentors, and youth workers and religious leaders.

With this training, you will learn how to improve your ability to connect and advise young Muslims, learn factors and skills used to be successful with youth development, and learn basic counseling skills to aid youth workers to connect with young Muslims.

It will be led by Dr. Sameera Ahmed and Hanan Hashem and they will help us learn how to make our youth future leaders inshaAllah! This is an event you definitely don't want to miss out on!

Free session on Friday, May 13th from 8-10pm

Saturday, May 14th is $15 for students and $30 for adults. Lunch and refreshments will be included

Dr. Sameera Ahmed is a licensed psychologist in the States of Michigan and Ohio and has been the Director of the FYI since 2006. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, an M.S. in Biology, as well as a certificate in Family Life Education. She currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at Wayne State University. External Event Url
