In commemmoration of Black History Month, MAS Urbana-Champaign would like to invite you to its 4th Annual Black History Month event. This year's theme is "Black Lives Matter: An Inspiring Movement for Social Justice". It is important that we learn from the past and present struggles of the African American community in this country. It's also important that we educate our Muslim community on an important part of American History in order to better understand the dynamics of our society.

We will be awarding Dr. Rebecca Ginsburg (University of Illinois) with the Social Justice Award for her work in upholding values of social justice and social services in Urbana-Champaign.
