"Advancing Diversity & Inclusion while Confronting Racism & Social Elitism"
This year's Black American Heritage Month event will focus on sharing lessons from the struggle of African Americans in pursuit of social justice specifically on how to cherish our diversity and promote an inclusive society while confronting the growing passive rhetoric of racism and social elitism.

The program will include:
- Keynote panel featuring Ubaydullah Evans and Dr. Janet Carter-Black.
- Acknowledging the life-long contribution of a senior local community leader, Marlon Mitchell, receiving the MAS 5th Annual Community Services Award for his valuable efforts in the area of “Social Services and Social Justice”
