Dawah Workshop - New Muslim Support Group

Most Muslims know enough about their own religion to theoretically be able to share the information about it to others, but most do not know how to effectively convey that information. Most struggle to articulate their ideas and thoughts about Islam, and most do not know effective techniques to engage the people around them, such as their co-workers, friends and neighbors. This workshop, years in the making, is the result of many people's efforts, to make sure Muslims are prepared to represent their religion. This workshop will utilize slideshows, videos, handouts, pamphlets, and more, and we have divided it into two parts. PART I: Listening as a form of Da'wah, Knowing Your Audience, Islamic manners in delivering the message, Examples from the Prophets and Messengers, How to overcome objections Effective Arguments, The relationship between sales and Da'wah, A summary of other major faiths, Using Technology in Da'wah, And More! PART II: (perhaps the more integral part) The Followup. Supporting new Muslims. Training ourselves to be better teachers of Islam, and equipping ourselves with the tools necessary to help new Muslims. From creating educational and support programs, to the implementation of a brother/sister program, the goal is to create a new Muslim support team, headquartered at Masjid Ar-Rahman. Plus, since the program is longer in format, LUNCH (halal, of course) will be PROVIDED! And best of all, the program itself is FREE. Registration is required, however, to gauge how much food to order and how much material to order/print for the participants. Be a part of the Da'wah.
