Salaam Alaykum!

As young people, once we move on and start our professional lives, we begin to make conscious decisions regarding important questions:
What kind of lives do we want to live?
What kind of people do we want to be?
What are our priorities?
How do we want to give back?

From time to time we might attend these huge events which are great for a short boost of faith but how can we sustain our faith and truly bring the Quran into our lives?

I haven't been here long, but for three months I've had countless people say to me: it takes two years to settle in and get to know people.

However, it doesn’t have to be this way. I am excited to announce the start of a new initiative at MAPS called Quran Study for Young Professionals.

Quran Study for Young Professionals is an answer to an urgent need for young people to find like-minded peers, a sense of community, and to connect with the word of Allah.

We will be reading verses of the Quran in English and reflecting on how the words of Allah relate to us in our daily lives.

Also, we'll be enjoying dinner together afterward in order to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood.

So inshaAllah I hope I’ll see you next week!
