Welcomed by a MAPS member, attendees will be shown around the Mosque and given an introduction to the religion and its main pillars of faith. Attendees will have the opportunity to enter the prayer room and sit quietly as members adhere to the Call to Prayer. Afterwards, enjoy a cup of tea and enter the conference room to listen to Moina Shaiq, who created Meet a Muslim in response to the San Bernadino Shootings. Moina will share a bit about herself and then simply open the floor for dialogue. Moina has made it clear that no question will offend her. You can ask her anything.
This is an all-ages opportunity to expand your awareness around the Muslim community and faith. This interfaith sharing is hosted by MAPS – Many Cultures One Community.
FREE to attend but please register below. We will accept donations to help cover Moina's travel expenses.
