Spring Carnival
The ISWEM Social Committee proudly presents a Kids spring Carnival followed by a potluck dinner. Let’s have some fun together with games and bouncy castle for kids and a variety of delicious food. Parents may drop off their kids 10 years and older. For kids under 10, parent(s) must accompany the child. The event will start saturday, march 17, 2018 at 5:00pm and will end at 7:00pm. Parents must pick up their kids by 7 pm. Following the carnival, starting at 7:00pm we will have a potluck dinner . Join us for a fun community building event for the entire family ! Kids Carnival 5:00pm - 7:00pm Potluck dinner 7:00pm onwards Admission is FREE for everyone!

South Washington County Referendum Information Session
Election Day is Tuesday, November 7th. District 833 residents will have three referendum questions and five School Board Seats on the Ballot. An informational session is scheduled at the ISW-EM. District Administration will be available to help residents make an informed decision on the referendum and its impact on their home property taxes. This session also aims to cover issues relating to the referendum and the election process. The audience will also have a chance to ask questions. Ladies Henna Event
Eid-ul-Adha is around the corner!! Join us for some fun filled festivities and celebrations!! What:The Henna Festival (LADIES ONLY). When: Wednesday, August 30th 5 PM to 9 PM Where: ISWEM Masjid, Suite 130 680 Commerce Drive, Woodbury, MN 55125. There will be a variety of HENNA, CLOTHES and FOOD stalls to cater to all your festive needs! Stall bookings: • Bookings for stalls starts NOW!! • Strictly on a first-come-first-serve basis. • There will be a maximum of 15 stalls only (5 each of henna, clothes and food), so please reserve your spot early to avoid any disappointment. • The cost of each stall is $40. • The last date for reserving a stall is Friday, August 25, 2017, or until all spots are reserved, whichever occurs first. ISWEM New Islamic Center Ramadan Fundraiser
This Ramadan, Allah (SWT) has given us another opportunity to participate in the building of a “House of His Worship” from the ground up that will, Insha Allah serve the ummah for generations to come. The ISWEM Islamic Center in the Twin Cities East Metro - that will look and feel like an Islamic Place of worship - is already under construction with ground breaking having taken place at the end of March 2017. Please join the community for the Annual Islamic Society of Woodbury-East Metro Community Picnic on Sunday May 14, 2017 at our future Masjid/Islamic Center property In sha Allah. Noor Kids - Story Telling and Parents Seminar
The ISWEM Social Committee is excited to announce that Noor Kids will be having an event at ISWEM!! Noor Kids has been featured on the BBC, NPR, The Huffington Post, and many other outlets. We are excited that our community will be able to experience this one-of-a-kind learning event!! There will be two separate sessions, one for kids and one for parents. Program Details: 5:30pm: Community social hour + Potluck (We will be starting promptly at 5:30pm, so please arrive on time) 6:45pm: Session 1: Children's story telling: Why I love reading + Story (The power of Prayer) + meet the author 7:45pm: Session 2: Parents seminar: "Identity in crisis - raising confident kids" How are muslim children being impacted by Islamophobia? What are evidence based approaches to raise confident Muslims? After studying at Harvard, Berkeley, and San Francisco State University, Br Amin G. Aaser from Noor Kids will share insights on the challenges faced by Muslim children and the solutions to counter them.

This Ramadan Allah (SWT) has given us an opportunity to participate in building a “House of His Worship” from the ground up that Insha Allah will serve the ummah for generations to come. The ISWEM Islamic Center in the Twin Cities East Metro - that will look and feel like an Islamic Place of worship - is ready for construction and waiting for us to work together to build it. Alhamdu Lillah, we have most of the plans in place and the main thing left is for all of us to participate in this project by taking ownership to build a portion of this Islamic Center.
