The goals of this community hike are to reflect on our relationship with Allah (swt), reconnect with nature and continue to build a sense of community as we embark through the community sphere. As part of community building, we highly encourage everyone to bring their own lunch and to be open to eating with community members they do not know. Here is a preview of what is to come:
– Community Building Activities
– Family-Friendly Hike
– Lunch (Bring your own lunch)
– Reflections and Remembrance with Shaykh Yasir Fahmy
– Salat Dhuhr in nature
Some tips for novice hikers: bring water, wear sunblock and bug spray, wear shoes or boots (please no flip flops, sandals or high heels), and dress for the weather. If you need a ride, please fill out this form: http://isbcc.org/community-hike/. We ask everyone to fill out the form by 9 pm on Friday, November 11. Those who need a ride or are offering a ride should meet at ISBCC parking lot at 9 am on Sunday.
