When scrolling through Facebook, it has been made clear that many women in our Southern California community have chosen to vocalize their stories/experiences with sexual harassment and sexual assault. In just a little over a week, we have all read the stories of our sisters' pain, trauma, survival, and hope. At the ICSC, we believe that for some individuals, the power of human connection can play an important role the healing process.
So, in response to the #MeToo posts that have been flooding social media, the ICSC has decided to create a safe place for women to come and share their experiences with sexual harassment & sexual assault amongst a sisterhood of healing + support. We will have an expert present to help facilitate conversation. This is a safe and confidential setting. All women are welcome.
