Have you ever witnessed or been a victim of a hate incident? What about a hate crime? Do you know the difference - or what to do next?

For the past couple of months, the Islamic Center of Southern California has been working with the Department of Justice and other government and community agencies to develop an informative program to answer some of the questions that might come up following a hate crime/incident - and to offer helpful resources that might assist in navigating the process to follow.

Please join us on Sunday, May 15 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. to meet the faces behind these agencies who are here to help. The ICSC, MPAC, LAPD, DA Office, CA Attorney General, USAO, LASD, USCIS, City HRC, and the County HRC will all have representatives in attendance.

Some of the discussion points will include:
- Impact to communities after a major hate incident, hate crime, active shooter, or terrorism event
- The difference between Hate Incidents and Hate Crimes
- Identifying law enforcement and government agencies involved in responding to hate incidents/crimes and those who provide other relevant services
- Identifying ways that the community and Stakeholders can collaborate to set message/tone and engage in solidarity activities

We look forward to seeing you there! External Event Url
