Our School’s Dream Becoming a Reality

Dear Community members, In Sura Al-Baqara, Allah (Glorified be He) praises people who give charity for only His sake, “...but righteous is he who believe in Allah…and gives wealth for love of Him… Such are they who are sincere…” (2:177) In the past few years the ICNEF Board of Trustees has made an extraordinary effort to make our ICNEF School Building a reality. We have undertaken this wonderful school building project to provide our children with an environment such that they can become dutiful servants of Allah (SWT). We understand that the Islamic Center is especially important for our children. It provides them with an opportunity to gain beneficial knowledge, and build on a lifetime of relationships. The ICNEF board is appealing to you to join us on March 3rd for our annual fundraiser such that we can complete the school building with your support. May Allah Keep Us United! Ameen. ICNEF Board

New School Building Fundraiser Dinner

Impact the Future! An exciting and educational evening is planned for the entire family. All funds raised will be used to complete the ICNEF New School building. Our target is to raise $500, 000. These funds will go towards the next steps: framing for the interior walls, AC, plumbing, electrical and interior finishing. Currently, there are over 500 hundred students enrolled between the full-time school (Al-Furqan Academy), the Saturday School (Dar Al- Arabiya), and Sunday School. These donations will be Sadaqa-Jariya that is to benefit both us as individuals and the future generations of Muslim children that learn in these facilities!

Domestic Violence & Elder Abuse Awareness Session

The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about the issues of domestic violence and elderly abuse in the community and provide information about the various services made available to the community by the Women’s Center of Jacksonville. The event will start with a scarf sale at 3:30 pm. All scarves are donations from community members. You can also bring your own gently for donation. All proceeds from the sale will go to Women’s Center of Jacksonville as a contribution from the Islamic community of Northeast Florida. The scarf scale will be followed by an information session after Maghrib. Presenters will include Imam Shamudeen and Women’s Center of Jacksonville and essential information about the services available to the community in cases of domestic violence will be shared. A Q&A session with the audience will conclude the event.
