Each box costs $35 and contains the basic food necessities to help those families in need. Once we collect, we will purchase the items and box them together before we distribute. This event is for the purpose of distrubuting Eid-ul-Adha meat and providing new or slightly used clothes for Refugee Families in the surrounding area of Aurora. Please fill out the following google form to give us a detailed account of what type of clothes you will be providing for the refugee families. Remember that these clothes must be either slightly used or new. Asalaamalekum - ICN in partnership with SAAPRI (South Asian American Policy & Research Institute) is hosting its debut, voter education seminar. Note - Even though the SAAPRI organization is focused on South Asian Americans, ICN's focus encompasses all members of the ICN family, and others living in the local communities. The Program will begin right after the Asr prayers. The initial session will be for 45 mins and focus on the imperative of voting. This session will be followed by a Train-the-Trainer session, to coach members of the ICN community to be able to deliver these sessions for the community on an ongoing basis. Takin' It To The Streets - MLK March

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. referred to the August 1966 march into #MarquettePark and the other efforts of the #ChicagoFreedomMovement that summer as the "first step in a one thousand mile journey.” In many ways, that march, as well as the series of organizing efforts associated with the Movement, was about challenging a divided city and reclaiming the notion of home for families denied the basic human right to live freely in thriving communities. The symbolic 1,000 Mile March on August 6, 2016 hundreds from across #Chicago and other cities will retrace a portion of the historic August 1966 march into Marquette Park in order to celebrate and amplify the triumphs and ongoing challenges of conditions #King confronted in communities across Chicago 50 years ago. The march will officially kick off our Takin it to the Streets Festival. We will be gathering for the march at the corner of 63rd and Kedzie at 9 AM CST on August 6.
