This is part of a campus/community scholar-led book discussion series which, through a variety of genres, we will engage with literature and each other on the persistent and pressing topics of racism, war, and genocide.

This Feb. 6th session will feature "The Bosnia List" by Kenan Trebincevic with Susan Shapiro. This memoir is about a young survivor of the Bosnian War returning to his homeland to confront the people who betrayed his family.

This book discussion event will begin with a short lecture from Dr. Amy Simon, William and Audrey Farber Family Endowed Chair of Holocaust Studies and European Jewish History, Department of History, James Madison College & Jewish Studies Program.

Then, we'll break up into smaller groups for discussions of the book. At the end of the evening, the full group will reconvene for final discussion and questions.

***Participants are encouraged to read the book ahead of time. For more information, including how to obtain the books, see: https://libguides.lib.msu.edu/muslimstudies/muslimjourneys

This is FREE and open to the public! Light refreshments will be provided.
