The lecture will focus on the need to have an Islamic worldview and how to develop one. In addition, we will look at the connotations and values embedded in language, and the power this holds over our view of the world.

Ustadha Noura Shamma has studied with renowned teachers in Amman, Jordan, since 2003. She has studied Islamic sciences including Hanafi fiqh, Aqida, Arabic, Hadith and Tasawwuf. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education as well as an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies, and has completed coursework for a Ph.D. in Islamic Thought. She currently serves as vice president of the Sila Initiative and teaches online via SeekersGuidance, as well as classes locally when in the USA. External Event Url
