Salaams everyone!

Remember, now we meet Wednesdays at 7pm at the GW Musallah in Marvin Center Room 406!

Wednesday, January 31st
Sûrah: 18 Al-Kahf {The Cave} - part 4
Chronological Order: 69
Assigned Verses: Ayahs 66-82

Summary: Moses in his thirst for knowledge forgot his limitations. Patience and faith were enjoined on him, and he understood when the paradoxes of Life were explained. Moses was up against mysteries which he wanted to explore. He searched out a man endued with knowledge derived from the divine springs from which flow the paradoxes of life. He is shown three such paradoxes and how human impatience is inconsistent with their true understanding. The highest knowledge come not except by divine gift, and a constant, patient striving, with Faith, to apprehend something of the purpose of the All-Wise God.

The weekly Qur'an halaqas are open personal reflections of the group, and are facilitated by Chaplain Meraj Allahrakha. Since this is personal reflection, there are no wrong answers or unwelcomed interpretations.

There will be SEVERAL copies of different translations/interpretations of the Quran, but since this will be a weekly occurrence, a personal copy might be useful. Don't have one? We should remedy that!

The goal of this halaqa is to cultivate a personal relationship with the Book of Allah, in a manner that brings it to life more than just a history or textbook. External Event Url
