Young adults from various masajid in Louisville have come together to address the need for fruitful, entertaining, and wholesome programs for Muslim youth here in the city of Louisville. We had a successful itikaaf with over 100 participants at Guiding Light on June 3rd and hope to see everyone this Saturday at the River Road Masjid!

We are accepting all youth, no matter which masjid they attend or don't attend, from ages 12 and up. Please be mindful that this event is being organized by volunteers and do ask your child to participate freely and in a well-behaved manner. We will be providing workshops, small lectures from esteemed individuals in our community including Dr. Umair Gauhar, Imam Wasif Iqbal, and Imam Abu Nur Al-Moutem, and guided activities for both boys and girls with the lecture being combined and activities separate.

This will be a potluck suhoor Inshallah and we encourage all parents to let their children attend. UofL MSA members will be present and we'd love to start building relationships with the younger generation who will be our future inheritors of community and institutions. We welcome all young adults as well, no matter if you are firmly attached to any in the community or not. This will be a program with no judgement and no harshness.

The ihtikaaf schedule (12am-5am) is:

June 3rd, Guiding Light Islamic Center - 6500 Six Mile Lane

June 10th, Louisville Islamic Center - 4007 River Road

June 17th, Muslim Community Center - 8215 Old Westport Road
